Due to unforeseen circumstances,
Jackson Quakers are no longer meeting.
We are sorry for any disappointment.
Quakers offer a form of worship that is distinct from other faiths. Besides meeting other like-hearted people, Quakers offer a winsome invitation to come meet God, to encounter the Divine. This is an invitation to listen for God's words to their souls in company with others who have gathered expecting an encounter with the Divine.

About Quaker Worship:
We come together in worship
• to listen to God*; • to know and be known by God; • to grow in our faith; • to be changed; • to support each other; and • to help one another do what God asks us to do. Our time together looks like • sitting quietly together; • listening if someone is moved by the Spirit to speak; • shaking hands when worship ends; and greeting those around us. You are welcome to join us as you are. Dress as you feel comfortable. We believe that every person is loved by the Divine Spirit. There are Quakers of all ages, religious backgrounds, races, education, sexual orientations, gender identities, and classes. Please feel free to ask any questions before/after worship! *Although we have used the word “God” here, many Quakers use other terms for the divine or are non-theists and are very much at home with Friends. |
